Applicants are welcome to join the Society. There are 3 types of membership:

i) Ordinary membership
Open to medical practitioners or a university graduate with interest in the mentioned fields.Ordinary members are eligible to vote, 
hold elective office and serve on committees.
Entrance Fee: RM30.00
Annual subscription : RM25.00

ii) Associate membership
Open to persons, not holding university degree but actively involved in the fields of infectious diseases and antimicrobial chemotherapy.
Associate members are not eligible to vote or hold elective office.
Entrance Fee: RM20.00
Annual subscription : RM15.00

iii) Corporate membership
Open to commercial or private organisation interested in supporting the objectives of the Society. Corporate members are not eligible to vote or hold elective office.
Entrance Fee: RM50.00
Annual subscription : RM300.00

Life membership is open to all full and associate members.

Application for membership shall be made on prescribed forms and submitted to the secretary who shall submit it to the Executive Committee for approval. The EC may, at its discretion, reject any application without assigning any reason thereof. Upon payment of the subscribed fee determined by the Society, the person will be admitted as member of the Society.
